KENT MET INDOOR CRICKET RULES

LAWS
NORMAL LAWS OF CRICKET SHALL APPLY WITH
EXCEPTION TO THE FOLLOWING PLAYING CONDITIONS

1.1) TEAMS SHALL CONSIST OF A MAXIMUM OF SIX PLAYERS EACH
1.2) EACH MATCH SHALL CONSIST OF ONE INNINGS PER TEAM
OF A MAXIMUM OF 10 OVERS EACH (6 BALLS PER OVER)
1.3) ALL GAMES PLAYED WITH 4 OZ HARD RED INDOOR BALL
1.4) AN ADDITIONAL WHITE LINE MARKED HALFWAY DOWN THE PITCH
1.5) ALL OVERS WILL BE BOWLED FROM ONE DESIGNATED END OF HALL.
1.6) MAXIMUM OF 3 OVERS PER BOWLER
(Part overs count as one against bowler)
1.7) BATSMAN MUST RETIRE WHEN THEY REACH OR PASS A
PERSONAL TOTAL OF 25 RUNS BUT MAY RETURN TO THE WICKET
AT THE DEPARTURE OF THE 5TH BATSMAN. BATSMAN MUST RETURN IN ORDER
OF THEIR RETIREMENT. EACH BATSMAN MUST RETIRE AGAIN WHEN
HE SCORES AN ADDITIONAL 25 RUNS UNLESS HE IS LAST
REMAINING BATSMAN IN WHICH CASE HE MAY COMPLETE HIS INNINGS.
1.8) LAST MAN STANDING – IN THE EVENT A TEAM LOSES 5 WICKETS
THE LAST BATSMAN SHALL CONTINUE BATTING WITH THE 5TH MAN OUT
REMAINING AT THE WICKET AS A NON-STRIKER.
(EITHER BATSMAN CAN BE RUN OUT TO END INNINGS)
1.9) NO BALL – IF BALL PASSES OR WOULD HAVE PASSED ABOVE SHOULDER
HEIGHT OF THE BATSMAN STANDING UPRIGHT AT THE CREASE.
1.10) NO BALL – IF BALL IS PITCHED ON OR SHORT OF THE ADDITIONAL WHITE
LINE MARKED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PITCH.
1.11) WIDE – ANY BALL THAT PASSES DOWN THE LEG SIDE OF THE BATSMAN
OUTSUDE OF THE LEG STUMP
1.12) OUT – A BATSMAN WILL BE GIVEN OUT IF HE IS CAUGHT OFF THE
BACK/SIDE WALL OR THE ROOF (and ball does not touch the floor)
1.13) A BATSMAN CANNOT BE CAUGHT OUT OFF THE FRONT WALL. (BOUNDARY SCORING WALL)
1.14) IF THE BALL GOES OUT OF THE HALL OR GETS STUCK IN A NET 1 RUN
ONLY AWARDED AND A DEAD BALL CALLED.
1.15) IF THE BALL HITS THE ROOF
NO RUN AND A DEAD BALL CALLED
(BUT BATSMAN CAN BE RUN OUT OR CAUGHT AND THEREFORE GIVEN OUT).

2. RUN COMPLETED FROM PAD = 2 LEG BYES
3. RUN COMPLETED NO CONTACT = 2 BYES
4. BALL HITS SIDE/BACK WALL FROM BAT = 1 RUN
5. BALL HITS SIDE/BACK WALL FROM PAD = 1 LEG BYE
6. BALL HITS SIDE/BACK WALL NO CONTACT = 1 BYE
7. BALL HITS SIDE/BACK WALL FROM BAT + RUN COMPLETED = 3 RUNS
8. BALL HITS SIDE/BACK WALL FROM PAD + RUN COMPLETED = 3 LEG BYES
9. BALL HITS SIDE/BACK WALL NO CONTACT + RUN COMPLETED = 3 BYES
10. NO BALL CALLED = 1 RUN + AN EXTRA BALL
11. WIDE BALL CALLED = 1 RUN + AN EXTRA BALL
12. NO BALL + BALL HITS SIDE/BACK WALL = 2 RUNS
13. NO BALL + RUN COMPLETED = 3 RUNS
14. NO BALL + BALL HITS SIDE/BACK WALL + RUN COMPLETED = 4 RUNS
15. WIDE + BALL HITS SIDE/BACK WALL = 2 RUNS
16. WIDE + RUN COMPLETED = 3 RUNS
17. WIDE + BALL HITS SIDE/BACK WALL + RUN COMPLETED = 4 RUNS
18. OVERTHROW FROM FIELDER HITS ANY WALL (SIDE/BACK/FRONT) = 1 ADDITIONAL RUN
19. BALL HITS FRONT WALL = 4 RUNS
20. BALL HITS THE ROOF (OR WALL – BLUE PELMET AND ABOVE) = NO RUN AND DEAD BALL

RESULTS
1. THE TEAM SCORING THE MOST RUNS IN ITS INNINGS SHALL BE DECLARED THE WINNER
2. IF SCORES ARE EQUAL THE MATCH WILL BE DECLARED A TIE
(IF A CUP MATCH TEAM LOSING LEAST WICKETS DECLARED THE WINNER)
(IF A CUP MATCH AND WICKETS LOST ARE EQUAL SUPER OVER PLAYED)
3. LEAGUE WIN = 2 POINTS TIE = 1 POINT LOSS = 0 POINTS

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY
PLAYERS MAY ONLY PLAY FOR ONE TEAM PER SEASON ONCE A PLAYER HAS PLAYED FOR
ONE TEAM THEY MAY NOT PLAY FOR ANOTHER TEAM IN EITHER LEAGUE OR CUP AGAIN
THAT SEASON.
