Awards Night Friday 24th September

What a wonderful night! It was great to see so many people gathered together to celebrate a successful season and to acknowledge the skills and achievements of our players. It was also lovely to welcome Dave Evemy who presented the Surrey Ovalites with their awards. It was also the opportunity to thank Mark the groundsman, for his work on the square, Cliff Hayward for his many years as Club Chairman and to recognise the outstanding contribution to the Sports Club over many years by Peter Humphrey our President. You will be pleased to know that as a result of ticket sales, the raffle and fines, the night raised £541 for the Club. As an added bonus we also raised from donations £1200 to put towards the new electronic scoreboard we are planning for next season. Thanks to all those who played their part in putting the evening together, especially Adam Smith, the presenters Andy Bowles, Dave Smith and Dave Evemy and our resident translator, Prem!
